APARC Reanalysis Intercomparison Project

Two-day ECS Event at 2024 A-RIP Planning Workshop

July 20 – 21, 2024

The APARC Reanalysis Intercomparison Project (A-RIP) is sponsoring a 2-day Early-Career Scientist (ECS) event from July 20 to 21 on the University of Colorado Boulder campus (building/room TBD). The A-RIP ECS event is scheduled to follow the 2024 Quadrennial Ozone Symposium (QOS) in Boulder, Colorado, USA (July 15 to 19), which will attract climate researchers from around the world.

Eleven Early-Career Scientists (i.e. BSc, MSc and PhD students, as well as postdoctoral fellows) from all over the world will participate in the ECS event, which is organized by Mohamadou Diallo (A-RIP ECS and outreach coordinator), Sean Davis (local organizer), V. Lynn Harvey (local organizer), Gloria Manney (A-RIP co-lead), Jonathon Wright (A-RIP co-lead), and Masatomo Fujiwara (A-RIP co-lead).

Logistical details

Participation in the ECS event is free of charge. A mid-morning coffee break and lunch are also included for the first day (July 20), thanks to sponsorship from the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences. Financial assistance for travel support has been provided for some participants by APARC. Registration is closed.
